Overview: This 2 -Day safari will take you to Tarangire and Ngorongoro. This is designed to offer you an intense taste of what Tanzania has at an affordable price with high level of satisfaction. On this safari, we will take you to Tarangire National Park, which is famous for its large group of countless elephant families and iconic baobab trees. Roaming onwards, you will experience the jewel that is Ngorongoro Crater, breathtakingly beautiful, and the best place in Tanzania to see the Big Five Animals and Nomadic society living and interact with wildlife inside the area.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our airport team, who will assist you with visa processing and luggage. After a refreshing welcome drink, you will meet your driver-guide, who will provide lunch boxes for your game drive. The journey from Arusha to Tarangire National Park covers approximately 151 km, offering a scenic introduction to Tanzania’s landscapes.
Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River, is renowned for being the only water source for wildlife during the dry season. The park boasts diverse vegetation, unique to the northern safari circuit, and is home to a large concentration of wildlife, including elephants, tree-climbing African pythons, and hundreds of bird species. Established in 1970, Tarangire is also famous for its iconic baobab trees and offers opportunities for bird watching, cultural visits, and nature walks.
Your adventure begins with an exciting game drive, where you’ll witness the park’s rich biodiversity. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, surrounded by nature. After the game drive, you will proceed to your lodge or hotel for dinner and an overnight stay, marking the end of an unforgettable first day.
Today, after breakfast, you will take your lunch boxes and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the crater and enjoy an exhilarating game drive. Here, you will experience a new environment, spectacular landscapes, and have the opportunity to spot all of the Big Five (rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant) living in this breathtaking, uninterrupted volcanic caldera.
The crater is also home to other wildlife, including zebras, hippos, wildebeests, hyenas, and more. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted by flamingos on the soda lake, geese, storks, vultures, and many other species. Your lunch will be served at a picnic site in the crater, near the Ngoitoktok swamp, a popular hippo pool.
After completing the game drive, you will be transferred to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport, ready for your flight back home or to another destination. This marks the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
