Serengeti National Park is renowned for the Great Migration and is among the largest parks in Tanzania, boasting diverse and amazing landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. This is where the largest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place. Depending on the rainy season, you may have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals on their search for food and water. The Great Migration is the largest movement of wildebeests, zebras, and other herbivores gathering together for the calving season. The best time to visit to witness wildebeest calving is from mid-December to early April each year.
