You will be picked up early morning from the lodge to start a beautiful journey to Lake Manyara National Park, ready to begin your game drive while carrying lunch boxes. Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its legendary tree-climbing lions, which hide among the branches of the trees, and numerous colonies of baboons that populate the forest and will accompany you along the road from the moment you enter the park.
The park offers a variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, flamingos, and many bird species. The lush forest, open grasslands, and the lake itself create a stunning backdrop for your safari adventure. Keep an eye out for lions stalking their prey or leopards relaxing in the trees.
Once the game drives are complete, we will drive you back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park, where you will enjoy a full day of game drives. Lunch will be served at a scenic spot inside the park. The Serengeti is world-renowned for its vast savannahs and the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras traverse the plains in search of fresh grazing grounds.
The migration patterns are dictated by rainfall, with the herds moving south to the Ndutu Area in November and December, and returning north during the longer rainy season from April to June. Alongside the migrating herds, you may also encounter predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, making for an unforgettable wildlife experience.
In the afternoon, we will continue the game drive before heading to your lodge or camp for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay. The Serengeti’s breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife promise an unforgettable day of adventure.
You will wake up early and enjoy a classic morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, soaking in the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife. The Serengeti is famous for its Great Migration, where vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope traverse the plains. Resident predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs are also commonly spotted, fulfilling their role in the circle of life.
If you’re visiting between mid-December and early April, you may witness the calving season, a remarkable time when wildebeest give birth to their young. This is one of the most spectacular wildlife events in the world.
In the afternoon, you will depart for Karatu, a charming town near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your accommodation for the night will be close to the Ngorongoro Crater, setting the stage for an early morning descent into the crater the following day. Enjoy a relaxing evening at the lodge with dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. The crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest uninterrupted caldera in the world and one of Africa’s natural wonders. It is home to approximately 30,000 large mammals, including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and the rare black rhino. The crater also hosts a variety of bird species, such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards, making it a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts.
The Ngorongoro Crater’s unique ecosystem ensures that you’ll see an abundance of animals in a short amount of time. The lush grasslands, acacia forests, and the crater’s soda lake create a stunning backdrop for your final safari adventure.
After the game drive, you will be transported to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport, where your safari concludes. This marks the end of an incredible journey through Tanzania’s most iconic national parks and wildlife reserves.
